THE 18+ FRANCOPHONE COMMITEE, WHAT IS IT?

The francophone youth council of British Columbia (CJFCB) proposes activities in french to all french speaking persons of 18 years of age or older. The council adapts according to interests and incentives from the community. The committee organizes activities such as evenings at local restaurants, outdoor activities,  workshops and more !

Accompanied by a committee of 6 or 7 dynamic and motivated people from post-secondary, we are building this year’s program !

Our program strives to connect young french speaking adults while exploring new activities and by offering a space to socialize in French !

You want to share your ideas ? Join the 2020/2021 committee now by quickly fill out the form below before September 18, 2020: COMING SOON

OUR RECURRING ACTIVITIES

Francophone Pub Nights [email protected]

These are monthly evenings in the Greater Vancouver. A great way to meet your community over a drink and chat in French! To be informed of upcoming events, visit the [email protected] franco Facebook group.

The Big Trip

In partnership with the Bureau des affaires francophones et francophiles (BAFF), the CJFCB organized two trips to Manitoba in 2019 and then in 2020. Students from SFU’s French Cohort Program had the chance to go to the Festival du Voyageur in Winnipeg for a whole weekend.

They met up with the youth delegations from the Association Jeunesse Fransaskoise, Francophonie Jeunesse de l’Alberta and the Conseil Jeunesse Provincial. A unique opportunity to create strong bonds with the large Francophone Canadian community.
