From May 17 to 20, the BC francophone games were held at Entre-Lacs in Penticton. Once again, the BCFG were rich in encounters, discoveries and fun for the participants! Here's a look back at the 4-day event in the Okanagan.

**ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL EDITION OF THE BCFG! It was with great enthusiasm that 96 young people aged 14 to 25 gathered in Penticton, at the Entre-Lacs school, for the biggest edition of the BCFG since the end of the pandemic. This eagerly-awaited event brought together French-speaking young people from all over the province, supervised by a team of 8 expert facilitators.

ACTIVITIES FOR ALL TASTES No fewer than 7 different activities were offered to participants, enabling them to discover new passions or perfect their skills. Some of the weekend's highlights included: the creation of a parody of a reality show trailer by the photo/video section; a hike to discover the pictographs of Skaha Bluffs by the outdoor section; the creation of impressive bread sculptures by the culinary arts section; a visit to Roche Wines by the 19+ section; the writing and production of two original songs by the music section; the creation of copper jewelry by the design section; and finally the traditional multi-sports competition for the last section.

A CELEBRATION OF LEARNING AND ACHIEVEMENT The weekend ended on a high note with a gala evening at which the artistic groups were able to present their creations in an exhibition area. The other sections also presented their learnings and discoveries to the other participants, pontuated with performances by the music section. The emotional evening ended with a tasting of the cakes prepared during the day by the culinary arts section!

AIt was a colorful weekend of fun in French where young people created strong ties with other French-speakers. A big thank you to all the participants for their great energy throughout the BCFG, as well as to our partners, facilitators and volunteers for their involvement!
