WHAT IS THE 18 AND OVER PROGRAMMING ?
Through our exciting program, the Conseil jeunesse francophone de la Colombie-Britannique (CJFCB) provides you with :
- A variety of different activities offered in French
- For young adults 18-25 years old
- Based on the interests of youth like you
- Activities offered throughout the year!
A wide range of activities: Themed evenings, outdoor activities, relaxation workshops, arts, sports... There's something for everyone!
The aim of this program?
- Meet other young people
- Build a sense of community after leaving high school
- And, above all, speak French!
A team effort! If you want to do more than just participate, are highly motivated and want to help organize these activities, consider joining the 18+ Committee as an Organizing Member!
Since 2019, the organizing members of the Comité 18+, with the support of the Conseil Jeunesse's 18+ project coordinator, have been at the heart of the young adult programming. The members put together activities(like the examples above!) open to all French-speaking 18-25 year-olds across the province.
THE 18+ COMMITTEE IS RECRUITING FOR 2024-2025
Do you have activity ideas for young adults aged 18 and over? You want to help organize them? We're looking for motivated people to join the 18+ Committee as Organizing Members!
The 18+ Committee is :
- A dozen young adults
- Responsible for creating and implementing opportunities for young people aged 18 and over.
- From October 2024 to April 2025
- Monthly remote meetings
- A Team Training Day set for Oct 4-6th (one day)
Candidates should be :
- Aged between 18-25 years old
- Currently living in BC
- Finished high school
- Motivated to make a concrete contribution to the coordination of activities

NEXT ACTIVITY: POTTERY PAINTING
Join us on Sunday, October 20 from 1:45 to 4pm at the Roundhouse community center (Yaletown Vancouver)! You can choose to paint either a mug or a plate! Free activity. Registration required.
THE 18+ COMMITTEE IN 2023/2024
In 2023-2024, the 18+ program involved :
- An 18+ committee made up of 16 active members
- The organization of 12 activities for young people aged 18 and over : Seaside walk in Victoria, 6@8 Trivia night, skating, baking cookies, kayak outing, and workshop on Financial Literacy
- 228 participants throughout the year
